What a gem. This beautiful two-storey split in Saskatoon’s Southeast (Briarwood!) is an updated gem, and a dream to stage. Imagine this before we got our designer’s caps on: neutral walls with warm, pleasant wood tones everywhere, and a few darker items (shelving in the family room, kitchen countertops) to offset the warmth with a counter-balancing, powerful tone.
When the house does all this, all we need to bring are some textures and further-offsetting pieces! This is evident in the family room between the throw pillows and the carpeting, with further contest of features thrown in along the midnight-blue shelves, thanks to a few smaller decorations. This all comes together because aside from the cooler-feature shelves and a coffee table book, everything blends well, from floor to ceiling!
The sitting room features a few cooler throwbacks as well, which will play beautifully off of the front windows – darker textures also work into the adjoining dining room.
