The Parade of Homes is an annual event by the Saskatoon & Region Home Builders Association. This year is the largest ever with 28 homes and 16 builders reflecting the diverse range of offerings in Saskatoon’s new home market for every stage of life. Vinland Homes is one of those builders and when they asked us to stage their addition to the parade we jumped at the chance.
The “Ellesmere”, located at 618 Meadows Boulevard in the Meadows, is a beautiful open concept 2 storey designed with a family in mind. This 3 bedroom home features a large foyer, a second floor bonus room, and a 3 car garage. However, what makes this home truly stand out is a state-of-the-art solar energy system tied directly to the grid with savings generated every month that will also benefit the environment.
To style this property we were mindful that a family was the target demographic so we didn’t want to go completely over the top in making it look too modern to be functional in showcasing the space. On the main floor, we kept the staging bright and light with pops of teal throughout. In our choices with the sofa, accent chairs, and dining room chairs we choose pieces that were more traditional in shape and fabric, but modernized them when we paired them with the curved glass coffee and end table and the modern chrome based, glass top dining room table. We also couldn’t help ourselves but to add touches of velour throughout the home to add a little glamour and a luxurious feel to the space!
You can visit this home (or any of the other 27 show homes) in person from August 8th until September 17th during the regularly scheduled hours of Monday to Thursday from 7pm to 9pm or Saturday, Sunday, and holidays from 2pm to 5pm.
