Mellow with Yellow – a Saskatoon home staging

This home on Ave G North is a great example of how great neutral walls and neutral pieces can look with just a splash of colour!

Firstly, in the living room, a few tones of yellow add the necessary pops to make the space extremely inviting; in the background, you can see additional pops from the vibrant greens our team selected on the kitchen table, but we wanted it to match the foliage provided on the coffee table. A circular surface was selected so we could angle the rug underneath; this asymmetry is playful, and helps to define the area around the couch, which can make it more inviting. (We did a whole article on rug placement here.)

A bit of negative space near the backdoor is solved well with a high-mounted planter and a bench below, as the table sports continuing green shades, earth-tones, and neutral chairs that play off of the couch.

In the bedroom, symmetry is the king – or queen, depending on preference! From the bedspread to the night stands, this room just screams comfort.

Our team is thrilled with how this staging turned out; if you’d like to see the property for yourself, here’s a link!
